Dr. Perry Grant, a 2011 alumnus of the College of Science and Engineering at Southern Arkansas University, has taken his education to the next level in high-tech research for the United States Air Force. “It’s my way of giving back to my country,” he said during a recent visit to SAU. Dr. Daniel McDermott, assistant professor of Biology in the College of Science and Engineering at Southern Arkansas University, has secured a $38,000 instrumentation grant from the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE). McDermott used the funding to purchase a flow cytometer for the Department of Biology.
